Ponomaryov supported Karpin's readiness to resign

Former Soviet Union national team defender Vladimir Ponomaryov commented on the recent statement by the capital's "Dinamo" team head coach Valeriy Karpin. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

After losing to the "Dinamo" team in Makhachkala, he announced his readiness to resign. According to Ponomaryov, Karpin's readiness to resign is the right decision.

Losing to "Dinamo" in Makhachkala is unacceptable under any circumstances. The lack of results is the primary and main reason for making such a decision.

Valeriy Karpin was appointed head coach of the "Dinamo" team in June this year and signed a three-year contract. Currently, the team is in ninth place in the championship table with 8 points.

Last season, "Dinamo" finished in fifth place. The team's current results and performances this season are a significant test for both the coach and the team.
