Portuguese club Benfica has reached an agreement to sign 18-year-old midfielder Federico Coletta. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano announced this on his social media pages. Federico Coletta is a member of the Italian club Roma and the U19 national team, and he changed his club for 1 million euros.
He previously played for Vigor Perconti, a club active at the youth level. Coletta has not yet appeared for Roma's main squad, but he participated in 40 matches for the youth team, scoring 14 goals and providing 3 assists.
Additionally, he played 28 matches for Roma's U17 team, scoring 17 goals and making 6 assists. Possibly, in the near future, Coletta will have the opportunity to play for Benfica's reserve team, which competes in Portugal's second-tier league.
His inclusion in the main squad is not expected at this time.
