Cardoso plays as a central defender and has been playing for Portugal's Porto club since 2021. Cardoso appeared in a total of 78 matches in the Portuguese championship, scoring four goals and assisting two.
Last season, he played on loan in the UAE championship and appeared in 29 matches for the Al-Ain team, scoring one goal. Currently, Sevilla is in 12th place in the Spanish La Liga with 3 points.
