On the first day of autumn, the Bayer club announced the dismissal of head coach Erik ten Hag. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Dutch specialist worked at the Leverkusen club for only two months and participated in just two Bundesliga matches. According to the Bild publication, ten Hag failed to establish good relations with the players and club staff.
His working methods surprised the players, in particular, push-up exercises were very important for Erik. At the same time, ten Hag received a good amount of money after being dismissed.
He received up to five million euros as compensation for contract termination. Considering the two months' salary, Bayer paid him approximately six million euros.
Shortly after his dismissal, ten Hag said: "This is an unprecedented situation".
