Russian national team goalkeeper Matvey Safonov shared his thoughts about his current situation at PSG. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He emphasized that due to his limited playing time in the team, if he does not get on the field at all, questions arise about why the team needs him. According to Safonov, he came to Europe to overcome challenges and has indeed faced such difficulties.

He considers this necessary for his professional development. Last season, Safonov was the backup to Gianluigi Donnarumma at PSG.

The Italian goalkeeper left the club in the summer. In his place, 23-year-old Lucas Chevalier was purchased from Lille for 40 million euros.

Currently, Safonov has not played in the new season. Speaking about his role and responsibilities in the team, he stressed that accepting such a situation is uncomfortable.
