
PSG goalkeeper and Russian national team player Matvey Safonov assessed his level of French after living in France for a year. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He said he has achieved good results in learning the language, as he can now communicate in French. However, Safonov believes he could be even more successful.
The goalkeeper emphasized that he started learning the language immediately after moving to the new country. Matvey Safonov transferred to PSG in the summer of 2024.
Since then, he has won five trophies, including the French championship and the UEFA Champions League trophy. Safonov also spoke about sometimes feeling uncomfortable regarding his role in the team.
He wants to be more useful for the team and continues to work on himself in this regard. Thus, the goalkeeper strives to further improve both his language skills and his achievements in sports.
