Laporte's transfer to Athletic delayed due to Al-Nasr

Defender Aymeric Laporte could have worn the Athletic football club's jersey again. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Bilbao club reached an agreement with the player on a three-year contract, but the transfer from Al-Nasr was not completed within the designated period. According to Marca, the 31-year-old Laporte's move to Athletic did not go through because Al-Nasr failed to submit the documents on time to FIFA's international transfer system (TMS).

Therefore, it was not possible to finalize the transfer. Currently, FIFA and the Royal Spanish Football Federation are investigating the situation.

A decision regarding whether the transfer will be completed or not will be made in the coming days. There is still hope at Athletic.
