Iheanacho signed a contract with Celtic
Kelechi Iheanacho did not remain without a club for long. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The 28-year-old forward's contract with Sevilla was terminated on Monday. The next day, Tuesday evening, Celtic announced that they had signed a contract with the Nigerian footballer.
The forward's contract with the Scottish champions is intended until the middle of next year, with an option to extend it for another year, according to the Celtic club's press service. Iheanacho had been a Sevilla player since the summer of 2024.
He previously played for Leicester and began his career at Manchester City. The Celtic team is managed by the well-known coach Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers knows Iheanacho well from their time working together at Leicester. This contract opens a new chapter in the player's career, and it is hoped that he will perform successfully with his new team.
