Slutskiy: Stankovich pays more attention to emotions, less to tactics

Russian specialist and head coach of China's "Shanghai Shenhua" team, Leonid Slutskiy, shared his opinion about the work of Dejan Stankovich, who is working at the "Spartak" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Slutskiy, the Serbian coach pays great attention to the emotions of the players, team spirit, and working with the players. However, he pays less attention to tactics and building a systematic style of play.

As Slutskiy emphasized, with such an approach, "Spartak" can compete for victories in competitions like the Russian Cup and secure high positions in the Russian Premier League. Nevertheless, the team’s chances of winning the championship are very low.

The coach's main strength is seen in his focus on selection and emotions, but he does not pay enough attention to developing tactics and mutual understanding among the players. Last season, Stankovich's team finished the championship in fourth place, accumulating 57 points.

This season, the capital club is currently in sixth place in the standings with 11 points.
