The Schalke team, currently in third place in the Second Bundesliga, has signed a contract with forward Christian Gomis. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Gomis holds Senegalese and Spanish citizenship and previously played for Switzerland's Winterthur club. The transfer fee amounted to 1.5 million euros.
According to information published on the new team's official website, a four-season contract was signed with the player. This season, Gomis scored four goals in six matches.

Gomis spent his senior football career at various clubs in Switzerland, progressing from the second league to the national championship.
