Five players will not participate in the Russian national football team

Five players from the Russian national team will not take the field on Sunday in the BetBoom friendly match against the Qatar national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to the press service of the Russian Football Federation, these players are goalkeeper Aleksandr Maksimenko, defenders Ruslan Litvinov and Ilya Vakhaniya, as well as midfielder Aleksandr Chernikov and forward Kirill Glebov. These players participated in the match against the Jordan national team held on Thursday.

It should be noted that in the match between Russia and Jordan national teams, neither team managed to score. This was the first game played by the team under the leadership of Karpin since November 2022, in which the Russian national team failed to score a goal against the opponent's goal.

Additionally, this was the first home match held in Russia since 2021, when they played against Croatia.
