Munich's "Bayern" club is planning to hold new negotiations to extend central defender Dayo Upamecano's contract. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The 26-year-old player's current contract is set until 2026. According to Bild, the parties will start new negotiations soon.
Earlier negotiations were also held, but they were suspended during the transfer window. The main problem for "Bayern" is the French player's high salary and demands to include a penalty clause in the contract.
Extending the contract with the central defender is currently one of the club's top priorities. Dayo Upamecano has been playing for "Bayern" since 2021, and his role in the club is very significant.
