Fenerbahce must pay Mourinho 15 million euros

Today, on August 29, it was announced that the head coach of Istanbul's "Fenerbahce" football club, Portuguese specialist Jose Mourinho, has been dismissed. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

This decision was made after the "Canaries" were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League competition. According to the Fanatik publication, the Turkish club's management had to pay a large fine to the coach nicknamed "The Special One" for terminating the contract, which was previously agreed upon, ahead of schedule.

The compensation amount is 15 million euros. It should be noted that "Fenerbahce" lost to the Portuguese team "Benfica" in the play-off round of the Champions League qualifying stage.

Jose Mourinho had been managing this club since 2024.
