Julian Alvares, forward of Madrid's "Atletico" team, intends to continue his career at the "Barcelona" club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the Fichajes publication, the Argentine footballer plans to transfer to "Barcelona" in the summer of 2026. He has informed those around him about this and is ready to put pressure on the "mattress makers" management for the transfer.
Alvares's decision is related to dissatisfaction with the new tactics of "Atletico" head coach Diego Simeone. The player sees himself as the successor to Robert Lewandowski, as the "blaugrana" team does not intend to extend the contract with the Polish player after the current season.
Nevertheless, Alvares's price is estimated at around 80 million euros, which may pose a problem for the transfer to take place. This season, the 25-year-old forward has played in three matches of the Spanish championship and scored one goal.
His move to "Barcelona" is expected to strengthen the team's attacking line.
