"Liverpool" team's central defender Ibrahima Konate was close to transferring to "Real" this summer, but the transfer did not happen. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The French footballer said that "Real" forward Kylian Mbappe is still interested in his move to the team. In an interview with Telefoot, Konate revealed that Mbappe constantly calls him every two hours.

Last season, Konate played 42 matches for "Liverpool," scoring two goals and providing two assists. His current contract is valid until next summer.

The Transfermarkt website values the player at 60 million euros. This information is important in determining the near future status of the agreement between "Liverpool" and the player.
