Bayern’s Upamecano spoke about his future

Christopher Freund, the sporting director of Munich's Bayern team, announced that he hopes to extend the contract of French defender Dayo Upamecano. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The current contract is valid until June 30, 2026, and the club is conducting negotiations with the player regarding a new agreement. According to Freund, Upamecano is an excellent player with a bright personality who knows his role well in the team.

He wants to work at Bayern for a long time, and the club is also striving to continue such cooperation. No specific deadline has been set for the negotiations.

In the 2025/2026 season, Upamecano has played in eight matches across all club tournaments and has made one assist. The 26-year-old player's market value is 50 million euros.
