“Athletic” Bilbao has returned to the Champions League competition. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Under the leadership of head coach Ernesto Valverde, the team will play against “Arsenal” at home in the group stage of the first round. Valverde shared his thoughts about the upcoming match.

According to him, it is necessary to be very cautious when playing against one of the main favorites of the tournament and the English Premier League team. It is important to fully utilize their opportunities and not concede many goals.

“Arsenal” plays very fast and keeps the opponent under pressure near the goal. These matches can be compared to games against “Real” or “Barcelona,” Valverde said at the UEFA press conference.

The match between “Athletic” and “Arsenal” will take place on Tuesday, September 16. The game will start at 19:45 Moscow time.

The match can be followed via text broadcast on the LiveResult portal. Also, last season “Arsenal” reached the Champions League semifinals.

There, Mikel Arteta’s team missed the opportunity against “PSG.”
