The San-Siro stadium is planned to be purchased from the Milan city authorities by the "Inter" and "Milan" clubs. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Sky Italia reported on this matter. In an interview with the Rtl radio station, the city mayor Giuseppe Sala announced that an agreement had been reached with the clubs.
According to him, the stadium must be ready by 2031; otherwise, UEFA will not consider holding the 2032 European Championship in Milan. The decision regarding the stadium will be put to a vote at the city council meeting on September 17.
Mayor Sala stated that he will vote "yes" and promised that this issue will be finalized by the end of this month. The renovation and preparation of the stadium are of great importance for Milan, playing a major role in preparing the city to host international sporting events.
Additionally, this project will have a positive impact on the local economy and the development of sports infrastructure.
