Prandelli criticized Italy's football preparation

Famous Italian coach Cesare Prandelli criticized the football players' training system. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He emphasized that in the last ten years, the development of players has been moving in the wrong direction. According to Prandelli, coaches have focused more on tactics, proper field distribution, and defensive schemes, paying insufficient attention to developing fundamental skills.

He stated that if a talent like Lamin Yamal had existed ten years ago, there would have been a risk of losing him. The coach highlighted the importance of instilling professional-level core skills in players and mentioned that he is working on a project with federation president Gravina aimed at developing football schools.

Previously, Prandelli managed the Italy national team and several Italian clubs. His criticism calls for identifying existing problems in football and introducing new approaches to address them.
