Former "Spartak" team coach Valeriy Gladilin admitted that the start of the "red-whites" team in the Russian Premier League has been unsuccessful. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He revealed this in an interview with the "Euro-Football.Ru" online publication. According to Gladilin, it would be wrong to justify the poor results at the beginning.
The team's coaching staff also understands this well. After nine rounds, the team had the potential to earn more points than their current result.
Teams competing for the championship are leading by a small margin, and it was wrong to let them get ahead like that in the initial stage. It might be difficult to catch up with them, and there is a possibility that this problem may not be resolved.
The "Spartak" team, led by Dejan Stanković, has accumulated 15 points and is currently in sixth place in the Russian championship standings. The team has not suffered defeat in the last five matches.
On September 28, the capital club will host the "Pari NN" team. This match is considered important for the team's future results.
