Israeli Prime Minister fights against UEFA sanctions

UEFA is planning to vote on Israeli teams. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to information, the majority of UEFA Executive Committee members may support the exclusion of Israeli teams from official competitions. The Times reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called high-ranking officials in the football sector, trying to convince them that no measures should be taken against the country.

Additionally, US President Donald Trump warned FIFA President Gianni Infantino against attempts to exclude Israel from football tournaments. Currently, the Israeli national team is in third place in its group in the 2026 World Cup qualifying stage.

The Donald Trump administration issued an official statement regarding the situation of the Israeli national team. This situation shows the intensification of political relations in the football sphere.
