Alvarez's second goal was against the rules

The Madrid derby took place on Saturday, where Atlético defeated Real 5:2. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In the 63rd minute of the match, Atlético's forward Julián Álvarez scored a precise free kick, completing a brace and making the score 4:2. However, according to Archivo VAR data, this goal was scored in violation of the rules, as Atlético defender Robin le Normand was standing less than one meter from the Real wall when the shot was taken.

It is emphasized that the VAR system should have intervened and disallowed the goal. In the additional minutes of the match, Antoine Griezmann scored the hosts' fifth goal.

Thus, Real suffered their first defeat of the season. On Sunday, if Barcelona beats Real Sociedad, the team led by Xabi Alonso will lose first place in the La Liga standings.
