Gundogan: Wirtz's price is not his fault

Former Germany national team player Ilkay Gundogan shared his thoughts about Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Wirtz is 22 years old and has faced constant criticism since moving to Anfield because he has not been able to show the expected level. According to Gundogan, Wirtz's price of 125 million euros is not his fault, but people expect a lot from him.

He also emphasized that no player in the Premier League has matched the number of chances created by Wirtz. According to Gundogan, football needs to be analyzed more deeply; focusing only on goals and assists is not enough.

If someone cannot see Wirtz's unique abilities, it means they do not understand football well. The former player expressed confidence that Wirtz's effectiveness will find its place in the coming months.

So far, he has made only one assist in ten games for Liverpool. Thus, Wirtz is expected to show even better results in the future.
