Karpin: My advice to Golovin was just a joke

The head coach of the Russian national team, Valery Karpin, commented on his statements about giving advice to AS Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin before the match against Real Madrid. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was reported by euro-football.ru. As is known, on January 20, Monaco faced Real Madrid in Madrid in the UEFA Champions League and suffered a 1-6 defeat.

Before this match, Karpin posted a photo with the Russian player on social media and announced that he had given him some advice. Valery Karpin commented on this situation, saying: "I watched Golovin's game from the stadium, but unfortunately, the result was unsuccessful.

The 'advice' I gave him was just a joke and sarcasm. I cannot give him serious advice, as he has his own coach."

As a reminder, Aleksandr Golovin has played in 13 matches in the current French league season, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. His performance is not yet consistent, but he remains one of the key players of his team.
