UEFA Champions League Play-off Draw: Matchups Confirmed

The draw ceremony for the play-off stage of the UEFA Champions League 2025/2026 season took place in the city of Nyon. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At this event, 16 teams identified their opponents for the round of 16. As a result of the draw, each pair will compete in crucial matches to advance to the next stage of the tournament.
The following pairs were formed: - "Monaco" – PSG - "Benfica" – "Real" - "Qarabag" – "Newcastle" - "Bodø/Glimt" – "Inter" - "Galatasaray" – "Juventus" - "Brugge" – "Atletico" - "Borussia D" – "Atalanta" - "Olympiacos" – "Bayer" Among these pairs, the matches between “Benfica” and “Real” as well as “Galatasaray” and “Juventus” are expected to attract great interest. These clashes will undoubtedly become a true football celebration for fans.
According to the draw principles, teams were divided into two groups – “seeded” and “unseeded.” Among the seeded clubs are "Real", "Inter", PSG, "Newcastle", "Juventus", "Atletico", "Atalanta", and "Bayer".
The unseeded teams include "Borussia D", "Olympiacos", "Brugge", "Galatasaray", "Monaco", "Qarabag", "Bodø/Glimt", and "Benfica". Each seeded team faces an unseeded team.
Additionally, according to the draw rules, clubs from the same country can face each other at this stage. This adds even more intensity and intrigue to the play-off matches.
The tournament’s qualifying matches will take place on February 17–18 and 24–25, 2025. The round of 16 will be held on March 10–11 and 17–18.
The tournament final will be held on May 30 at the “Puskás Arena” in Budapest. In summary, the draw in Nyon laid the foundation to make the Champions League play-off stage even more exciting and uncompromising.
