Marcelo Delgado became the sports director of Boca Juniors

There has been a change in the position of sporting director at one of Argentina's famous football clubs, Boca Juniors. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It was officially announced that Marcelo Delgado has been appointed to this position. Delgado will now work closely with the club president Juan Riquelme.
As is known, Riquelme previously played for Barcelona and is a well-known figure in the football world. This was reported by the euro-football.ru website.
The club management emphasized the necessity to strengthen the squad and plans to pay serious attention to new transfers and team renewal issues. This is expected to be one of the key areas of cooperation between Delgado and Riquelme.
Marcelo Delgado also has extensive experience as a player. Between 1995 and 2002, he played 18 matches for the Argentina national team and participated in the 1998 World Cup.
Additionally, in 2003, Delgado managed to become the top scorer of the Copa Libertadores. He achieved the same result as Santos club striker Ricardo Oliveira.
