
The next Asian Championship in kayaking and canoeing has started in Nanchang, China. Over 200 athletes from 20 countries of the continent are showcasing their skills in this prestigious competition.
Our national team, consisting of 16 athletes, is representing Uzbekistan in the championship. They are testing their strength in various disciplines and distances.
Right from the first day of the competition, Uzbek rowers recorded high results and managed to win several medals.
In particular, in the C-2 category for the 1000 meters event, the crew of Muhammadali Mirismanov and Diyorbek Mamatqulov from Uzbekistan showed excellent results and became silver medalists.
Additionally, in the 500-meter races, the pair of Kanoliddin Rahmatullayev and Azimjon Sotiboldiyev secured third place with their swift movements, bringing a bronze medal to our team's tally.
In the K-1 category, our compatriot Aleksandr Zarubin also claimed third place in the 1000-meter race despite strong competition, adding another bronze medal to Uzbekistan's medal count.
It is worth noting that during the championship, athletes will compete fiercely and interestingly for the continental championship in K-1, K-2, K-4, C-1, C-2, and mixed categories over distances of 200, 500, and 1000 meters.
Our team’s athletes are expected to achieve good results in the remaining days of the competition, further enhancing our country's reputation in the international sports arena.
