"Inter" – "Juventus" match sparked refereeing controversies

The match between Inter and Juventus in the Italian Serie A (3:2) caused intense debates. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
More attention was focused on the referees' decisions than the game itself. Towards the end of the first half, the main referee Federico La Penna showed a yellow card to Juventus defender Per Kalulu.
However, many experts and spectators emphasized that in this situation, Inter player Alessandro Bastoni deliberately exaggerated the incident to win a penalty. This was reported by euro-football.ru.
The fact that the VAR system could not intervene in this case also sparked discussions. According to the current rule, video assistant referees cannot overturn decisions related to yellow cards.
In this regard, the head of the Italian referees' corps, Gianluca Rocchi, also expressed his opinion. He assessed referee La Penna's decision as a mistake and expressed regret that the use of VAR was not possible.
Currently, Inter remains the leader in Serie A. This match once again brought the issue of refereeing decisions and their fairness to the forefront.
