Mbappe: Measures must be taken against racism

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe shared his thoughts on important events following the Champions League match against Benfica. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to euro-football.ru, Real won the match 1-0.
The only goal was scored by Vinicius Junior in the 50th minute. However, during the game, the Brazilian player complained to the referee about racist remarks he heard from Benfica player Gianluca Prestiani.
According to Mbappe, Prestiani insulted Vinicius several times using the derogatory term "monkey." Mbappe emphasized that he clearly heard these words, while the opposing player tried to hide his words by covering his mouth.
Mbappe also commented on Prestiani's apology, stating that such incidents cannot be ignored. In his opinion, being young or inexperienced is not a justification for using discriminatory and offensive language.
Mbappe expressed no complaints against the Benfica team or its coach but added that Prestiani should no longer play in the Champions League. The incident was noted by the referee and included in the match report.
This matter is expected to be reviewed officially at a later time.
