Sports22:44, 21-02-2026

Eldor Shomurodov, striker for the Uzbekistan national team and Turkey's "Istanbul Bashakshehir" club, is recognized as the most effective football player in the Turkish championship. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to euro-football.ru, as of February 21, Eldor Shomurodov has accumulated 20 points in the "goal+assist" system.

He scored 16 goals and made 4 assists. This result placed him first on the tournament's top scorers list.

Shomurodov's statistics are significantly higher compared to "Galatasaray" star Mauro Icardi and other famous players, including Victor Osimhen. For example, Icardi scored 13 goals in all matches, while Osimhen achieved only 9 goals within the national championship.

It is also worth noting that the Uzbekistan national team, for which Eldor Shomurodov plays, has qualified for the 2026 World Cup to be held in North America. These achievements are regarded not only as Shomurodov's success but also as one of Uzbekistan football's international accomplishments.
