Ranieri: Italian football is losing its stars

Experienced Italian coach Claudio Ranieri shared his views on the problems arising in the development of Italian football. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He is known as a coach who achieved the championship with the English Premier League representative "Leicester" and gained great prestige in the football world. According to Ranieri, Italian football has been losing its position among Europe's strongest leagues in recent years.
While Serie A was previously highly regarded, it is now often mentioned around the third place. Some even consider this league the weakest among the top-5 championships.
This issue was reported by euro-football.ru. Ranieri pointed out the main causes of the problems in two directions: first, limited financial capabilities; second, lack of stability in the system.
According to him, Italy used to have many great star players, but nowadays such players are almost absent. This is felt not only in the domestic championship but also in the national team matches.
"We lack leading stars like those in England, Germany, and France," says Ranieri. These views were presented on the pianetamilan.it website.
It is known that the Italian national team has not been able to participate in the last two World Cups held. This situation further highlights the systemic problems in the country's football.
