Arbeloa: Strict measures against racism are necessary

“Real” team head coach Alvaro Arbeloa shared his opinion about the suspension of “Benfica” footballer Gianluca Prestia for one match. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Last week, “Real” footballer Vinicius accused Prestia of racism. Currently, UEFA is continuing to review this matter.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. According to Arbeloa, during the initial investigations, it was found that there might have been a discriminatory incident by Prestia, which is why he was temporarily suspended from the field.
The coach emphasized that he did not discuss this issue within the team and expressed his position: “This is an important opportunity to take strict measures against racism. We are only focusing on the game, and UEFA will make its decision on other matters.” Additionally, Arbeloa commented on Vinicius’s celebration after scoring a goal: “Vinicius scored a very beautiful goal.
But no matter what anyone has done or what happens later, nothing justifies racism. This is my clear position.” The return match between “Real” and “Benfica” teams will take place on February 25.
