Uzbekistan entered the top ten in the AFC ranking

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the updated club competition rankings for the 2025/2026 season. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In this ranking, Uzbekistan entered the top ten with 46.6 points, securing 10th place. Notably, this position is shared with Australia, as they have accumulated the same number of points.
This result is a significant achievement for Uzbek club football. Entering the continent-wide top ten is not only assessed by numbers but is also the result of years of hard work, participation in international competitions, and point accumulation.
Now, teams from our country such as "Neftchi" and "Pakhtakor" have the opportunity to demonstrate even more successful results on the international stage and strengthen this position. According to the ranking, the top ten is formed as follows:
1.
Saudi Arabia — 122 points 2. Japan — 109 points 3.
South Korea — 85.5 points 4. United Arab Emirates — 74.2 points 5.
Iran — 68.9 points 6. Qatar — 64.5 points 7.
Thailand — 58.7 points 8. China — 49.4 points 9.
Australia — 46.6 points 10. Uzbekistan — 46.6 points.
In the Central Asia region, Uzbekistan clearly leads. Turkmenistan is ranked 19th with 25.8 points, Tajikistan 23rd with 21.6 points, and Kyrgyzstan 26th with 19.3 points.
This confirms that Uzbek clubs are currently showing the most stable results in the region. Overall, this ranking does not imply "everything is perfect," but rather it is a gateway to great opportunities.
With equal points to Australia, a single successful run or a decisive victory in international competitions could elevate Uzbekistan to even higher positions. Therefore, while entering the top 10 is a good result, maintaining a strong position there and climbing higher remains an even more important task.
