Shipilov: "Kokand-1912" was not worthy of defeat

The match between “Bukhara” and “Kokand-1912” from the 1st round of the Uzbekistan Super League ended with a 1:0 victory for the home team. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

At the post-match press conference, “Kokand-1912” head coach Andrey Shipilov participated and shared his thoughts about his team's performance, problems in the attacking line, and overall impressions. According to him, despite the defeat, the team's fighting spirit was commendable.

Shipilov first congratulated everyone on the start of the new season and expressed positive views about the match. He emphasized that the game was intense and full of battles until the very end.

The coach stated that blaming the players would be wrong and highlighted that the team fought until the last minute. He also noted that he spoke encouraging words to the players rather than criticism.

The coach admitted that the team started the game somewhat insecurely and expressed his intention to analyze this situation. In his opinion, excitement and psychological pressure are normal in the first round.

Furthermore, Shipilov emphasized that his team did not deserve defeat in today’s match. He expressed confidence that if the team continues with the same effort, they will achieve good results.

During the press conference, questions were also asked about the team’s lineup and attacking line. According to Shipilov, although the forwards did not score goals, they performed a large volume of work.

He stressed that he views football as a team game and that it is wrong to attribute results solely to the attacking line. He mentioned that the team created several dangerous situations in the second half but lacked precision in converting them into goals.

The coach also touched on the training camps held in Turkey, stating that the players showed good preparation during that time. He assessed today’s goalless match not as a systemic problem but as a situation specific to one game.

According to Shipilov, the team is in the process of adapting to the new season. If they continue in this spirit, they can achieve good results in the future.

In short, according to Andrey Shipilov, despite the defeat, the “Kokand-1912” team has not lost its confidence. The team is still at the beginning of the season and will find its rhythm in due time.

For this reason, the coach looks to the future with great hope.
