“Andijon” started the season with a major victory

In the 1st round of the Uzbekistan Super League, the match between “Andijon” and “So‘g‘diyona” ended with the hosts securing a confident 4:0 victory. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
After the match, “Andijon” head coach Samvel Babayan participated in a press conference and shared his thoughts on the details of the game, the current state of the team, and future plans. Despite the large victory, the coach emphasized that the team has not yet shown its full potential.
Samvel Babayan first congratulated all Andijon residents on the new season and the first win. He noted that although the score was significant, achieving this result was not easy.
Considering that the team lineup has been almost completely renewed, he stressed that it is natural for the players to need time to adapt to each other. Additionally, the coach expressed warm thoughts about the opposing team — “So‘g‘diyona.”
He mentioned that their game was analyzed in advance and preparations were made accordingly. According to Babayan, “Andijon” showed only about 60 percent of its capabilities in today’s match.
This indicates that the team still has great opportunities for growth and development ahead. The coach expressed hope that in upcoming matches the team will play more harmoniously and stronger.
He also noted that in today’s match, 70 percent of the initiative belonged to “Andijon,” and the team demonstrated organized play in both attack and defense. The four unanswered goals were an important result for the team.
The coach also spoke about the atmosphere in the stadium. He specifically acknowledged the enthusiastic environment at “Bobur Arena” and expressed gratitude for the fans’ support of the team.
According to Babayan, the atmosphere in the stands played an important role in the team’s victory today. At the same time, he emphasized that the principle of approaching every game with the same seriousness is a key priority at “Andijon.”
During the press conference, a question was also asked about the adaptation of foreign players. Babayan said that high-level performance and efficiency are required from foreign players.
He stressed that when selecting foreign players, not only their football skills but also their personal qualities were taken into account. The coach considers it wrong to separate local and foreign players within the team, stating that everyone works towards a single goal.
Additionally, the coach provided information about injured players. In particular, he mentioned that Aziz Turg‘unboyev is recovering from injury and may return to the squad soon.
This news was a joyful update for Andijon fans. In conclusion, according to Samvel Babayan, although “Andijon” started the season confidently, this is only the first step.
The team has not yet fully demonstrated its potential. A stronger and more solid “Andijon” can be expected ahead.
For the fans, this is certainly good news.
