Uzbekistani boxers in the semifinals of the “Strandja” tournament

The Uzbek national boxing team is successfully participating in the traditional international “Strandja” boxing tournament held in Sofia, Bulgaria. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On the second day of the tournament, Uzbek athletes achieved a number of important victories and advanced to the semifinal stage. Our team representatives demonstrated high skill, technical mastery, and physical readiness in their fights, leaving no chance to their opponents.
In the 75-kilogram weight category, Fazliddin Erkinboyev fought against Wales representative Orlando Holley-Sotomi. Fazliddin defeated his opponent with a score of 5:0, showing his technical superiority and composure, securing a place in the semifinals.
In the 80-kilogram weight category, Javohir Ummataliyev competed against Brazil’s Vanderley Perreira. He performed at a high level in this match and won with a score of 3:2.
In the 85-kilogram weight category, Akmaljon Isroilov faced Kazakhstan’s Sultanbek Aibaruli in the ring. Although the bout was very intense, Akmaljon maintained his advantage and confidently won with a score of 5:0.
Another representative in the same weight category, Norbek Abdullayev, fought against one of the hosts, Kristian Dimitrov. Despite the pressure from the hosts, Norbek kept his composure and won with a score of 5:0.
In the 90-kilogram weight category, To‘rabek Habibullayev competed against Brazil’s Santos Ribeiro. In a tough fight, To‘rabek won with a score of 4:1 and advanced to the semifinals.
Another athlete in this weight category, Samir Sobirov, defeated Kazakhstan’s Nurmagamed Yussupov with a score of 5:0, securing another semifinal spot for our team. In the +90-kilogram weight category, Ozodbek Aliyev fought against Kazakhstan’s Nurlan Saparbay.
In a difficult and intense match, Ozodbek demonstrated his willpower and resilience, winning with a score of 5:0. Thus, the Uzbek national team advanced to the semifinal stage of the tournament with 7 boxers.
These results once again proved our team’s competitiveness in international competitions. Now our boxers will fight for medals.
