Karpin: In games, preparation is important, not the result

The head coach of the Russian national team, Valery Karpin, shared his thoughts ahead of the friendly matches against the Mali and Nicaragua national teams. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. According to Karpin, the result in these matches is not important.
He noted that the main goal of these games is to assess the players' physical fitness and their level of adaptation to the team. The coaching staff is currently calling up all the players they trust and plan to test for the training camp.
He also expressed confidence that, barring any force majeure circumstances, all players will join the national team at the designated time. Regarding the matches, the game between the Russian and Nicaraguan national teams will take place on March 27 in Krasnodar.
The match against Mali is scheduled to be held on March 31 in Saint Petersburg. It is reported that the Russian national team is currently unable to participate in international competitions due to decisions by FIFA and UEFA.
For this reason, the team is focusing more on friendly matches.
