Changes will be made to football rules against time-wasting

Starting from the 2026/2027 football season, new changes aimed at preventing time-wasting in the game rules are planned to be introduced. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to BBC, if deliberate time-wasting is detected, the ball will be awarded to the opposing team. This information was provided by euro-football.ru.
If time-wasting occurs during the goalkeeper's process of taking a goal kick, the opposing team will be granted the right to take a corner kick. At the same time, during substitutions, the player leaving the field will be given 10 seconds.
If the player does not leave the field within the allotted time, the new player will join the game 60 seconds late. As a result, the team will have to play with one player less for one minute.
Additionally, there were recent reports about the possible introduction of the "Vinicius rule." These changes are expected to make football matches more dynamic and fair.
