Francis Ngannou wants to fight Vladimir Klitschko

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou spoke about the possibility of fighting 49-year-old former super heavyweight world champion Vladimir Klitschko recently.
“I have a few more fights left on my contract. I might also fight Rico Verhoeven, but that’s not certain. Additionally, Derek Chisora and Vladimir Klitschko are also among the options. I definitely want to have my next fight in boxing and I am ready for any opponent,” Ngannou's words are quoted by Sportsboxreview.
It is worth noting that Ngannou last fought officially in October 2024. He won that fight against Brazilian Renan Ferreira, becoming the PFL (Professional Fighters League) heavyweight champion.
Klitschko, on the other hand, retired in 2017. He fought his last match against former world champion Anthony Joshua, losing by technical knockout in the 11th round. The Ukrainian boxer participated in 69 fights during his career, winning 64 of them and losing 5.
