Real Madrid knocked out of Champions League; Arbeloa takes the blame

Real Madrid was defeated by Bayern in the quarter-final stage of the UEFA Champions League and was eliminated from the tournament. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Based on the aggregate score of the two legs, the Munich side won 6:4 and secured a place in the semi-finals. The final minutes of the decisive match held in Munich were very difficult for the Spaniards.
Real Madrid conceded two goals in the closing part of the game and suffered an unexpected defeat. Thus, the Madridians bid farewell to the continent's most prestigious competition.
After the match, head coach Alvaro Arbeloa expressed his views on the situation. He took full responsibility for the defeat, emphasizing that he is entirely accountable for the result.
According to the coach, fans should be proud of the players who fought until the end for the honor of the club. Reports indicate that Arbeloa has been managing Real Madrid since January 2026, and his contract is valid until the summer of 2027.
The current season has been quite difficult for the team. The club was eliminated not only from the Champions League but also from the Spanish Cup and lost in the final of the national Super Cup.
This means they have missed out on three major trophies within one season. While the situation in the Spanish league is relatively better, the team stands second in the tournament table.
However, with seven rounds remaining until the end of the competition, Real Madrid trails leaders Barcelona by nine points. Currently, all attention is focused solely on the championship, but the chances of victory are steadily decreasing.
