Uzbekistan's youth taekwondo athletes achieve historic victory at world championships

The World Youth Championships in Taekwondo WT, which took place in our capital over six days, have concluded. Zamin.uz reports on this.
The Uzbekistan youth national team participating in this prestigious competition achieved the highest results in its history, bringing a true festive mood to sports fans. The young athletes defending the honor of our homeland won 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal during the tournament.
Concluding with a total of six awards, this championship opened a new page in the history of national taekwondo. Until now, the achievement of winning three gold medals within a single world championship had not been recorded.
The gold medals were won by Yosinbek Odilov, Asadbek Samandarov, and Mohidil O'ktamjonova. They proved superior to all their opponents in their respective weight categories.
While Ayubxon Nabiyev and Alisher Pak won silver medals, Shohjahon Xolmurodov was awarded a bronze medal. Additionally, in this championship held in Tashkent, our boys' team surpassed everyone in points and took the proud first place.
This result demonstrated that the team spirit and preparation were at a high level. The athletes trained under head coach Konstantin Li took third place in the overall team standings.
Experts evaluate these achievements as a solid foundation for even greater victories in the future. This championship opened doors to new opportunities for Uzbekistan's taekwondo and proved the potential of the younger generation to the world.
