Uzbekistan judokas win five medals at the Asian Championships

Individual competitions as part of the Asian Judo Championships in Ordos, China, have concluded. Zamin.uz reports.
In these competitions, the Uzbekistan national team demonstrated high skill and achieved worthy results. On the final day of competition, our athletes won a total of five medals.
Specifically, one gold and four bronze medals were credited to the team. These results showed that the athletes' level of preparation is high and that they are fully ready for strong competition on a continental scale.
The most valuable prize was won by Alisher Yusupov, who competed in the heaviest weight category, over one hundred kilograms. He outperformed all his opponents leading up to the final stage to secure the gold medal.
Bronze medals were distributed across various weight categories. Ernazar Sarsenbayev took third place in the under one hundred kilogram category, and Muzaffarbek Turabayev placed third in the over one hundred kilogram category.
Among the women, Barchinoy Qodirova (under seventy-eight kilograms) and Umida Nigmatova (over seventy-eight kilograms) became bronze medalists. In total, the Uzbekistan national team concluded the individual competitions with one gold, three silver, and six bronze medals.
These indicators once again confirmed our national judo team's strong position in the Asian region. Currently, our athletes' primary focus is on the mixed team competitions.
