Borussia Dortmund chose Arsenal's Nwaneri as a replacement for Sancho

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Ole Book has decided to revise the club’s transfer plans, Zamin.uz reports.
The club’s management has stepped back from signing Jadon Sancho to a permanent contract and is now focusing on strengthening the attacking midfield position. Negotiations with Sancho have been temporarily paused as the coaching staff re-evaluates the team’s tactical needs.
This was reported by Goal.com. Currently, Dortmund is seeking a creative footballer who can fill the role of Julian Brandt.
Among the main candidates is Ethan Nwaneri, a product of Arsenal’s academy. Although the 19-year-old, currently on loan at Marseille, has attracted interest from several clubs, his high transfer fee could complicate a deal.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Ole Book stated that he aims to strengthen the squad with at least two new players before the start of the new season. The club’s leadership is looking to sign a versatile player capable of playing effectively in both central and wide areas in a three-defender system.
Besides Nwaneri, Borussia’s scouts are closely monitoring Kenneth Ayhorn, a 16-year-old talent from Gertá Club. For this young prodigy, powerful clubs such as Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Bayer Leverkusen are also competing.
Although Ayhorn’s contract includes a release clause of nine million euros, the total costs associated with his transfer would require significant investment from Dortmund. Nevertheless, the German club does not intend to deviate from its strategy of acquiring young talents.
