Uzbek cyclists win three medals at international tournament in Astana

The capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, hosted an influential international cycling tournament, as reported by Zamin.uz.
Talented cyclists from ten countries participated in the competition, with members of the Uzbek national team also taking part successfully and showcasing their skills. Throughout the event, our athletes won a total of three medals, delighting their fans.
According to the National Olympic Committee, our representatives secured two silver and one bronze medal at the conclusion of this international tournament. Such results indicate growing attention to cycling in our country and the improving performance of our athletes.
Each race was fiercely contested, with the battle for victory lasting until the final moments. One of the silver medals was awarded to the pair of Samira Ismailova and Asal Rizayeva in the Madison discipline.
Our female cyclists demonstrated excellent teamwork, competing strongly against tough opponents and earning second place on the podium. Additionally, in the men's omnium event, Sergey Rostovtsev also won a silver medal, contributing significantly to our team's success.
He consistently performed well across several challenging stages, achieving a high overall score. In the women's omnium, Nafosat Kozieva displayed her determination, securing third place and winning the bronze medal.
Thus, Uzbek track cyclists concluded the tournament in Tashkent with three medals. These achievements are not only personal victories for the athletes but also valuable experience gained in preparation for future major international competitions and the Olympic Games.
