Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who left Manchester United, is close to continuing his career in Major League Soccer (MLS), considered the top football league in the United States, Zamin.uz reported.

After reviewing offers from several influential clubs, the player ultimately chose Inter Miami. According to Goal.com, the five-time Champions League winner is expected to soon take the field alongside legendary Lionel Messi.

According to information released by The Athletic, the 34-year-old footballer has made a firm decision to join the Miami project. Casemiro also faced serious competition from Los Angeles Galaxy for his signature.

Under MLS rules, while the California club holds discovery rights to the player, the Brazilian star personally preferred the Miami option. This choice is linked to the player’s desire for a new environment and to play in a strong squad.

To facilitate this transfer, Inter Miami’s management is willing to apply a special financial approach. Currently, all roster spots in the team are filled, so Casemiro will initially be paid under a designated player contract, similar to Jordi Alba.

In the future, as roster spots become available, his salary and position within the club are planned to be increased. If the deal is successfully completed, Inter Miami will pay a certain amount of allocation money to acquire the right to negotiate with Los Angeles Galaxy over the player.

Such a practice was previously observed during the transfer of Marko Reus, when the Los Angeles club paid compensation to another team to add the German star to its roster.

With Casemiro’s arrival, he will not only play alongside Lionel Messi but also alongside notable players such as Rodrigo De Paul and German Berterame. Experts believe this transfer will be one of the key steps in filling the gap left after Javier Mascherano’s departure.

The Brazilian star’s arrival will undoubtedly strengthen Inter Miami’s defensive and midfield lines significantly.
