Transfer battle around Zubimendi: "Real" may leave "Arsenal" behind
The European transfer market is in fierce competition. This time, the focus is on Martin Zubimendi, the talented midfielder of "Real Sociedad." Previously, there were reports that this player had reached an agreement with "Arsenal" and was even preparing for a medical examination. However, the situation has taken a new turn.

According to the latest information released by AS, Madrid's "Real" club is planning to add Zubimendi to their squad at the request of the new head coach Xabi Alonso. Considering that the relationship with "Sociedad" is good, the Madrid side is confident that negotiations will conclude successfully.

Reports indicate that Martin Zubimendi is interested in staying in a familiar and local environment, meaning he is keen on playing in La Liga. He is very much attracted to the prestige and ambitions of the "royal club." For this reason, he is ready to temporarily halt the agreement with "Arsenal."

The Madrid club plans to compensate part of the transfer fee, which is valued at 60 million euros, by loaning a player from the "Castilla" team for free. It is also not ruled out that someone from the main squad may join the agreement.

"Real" is ready to pay Zubimendi a salary of around 6–7 million euros for the first season. "Arsenal," on the other hand, is offering a salary of 10 million euros per year after taxes. Nevertheless, the player's internal desire to play in Madrid remains strong.
