Cannavaro: Our Only Goal in the Match Against Congo Is Victory

The head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team, Fabio Cannavaro, shared his thoughts ahead of the match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo at a pre-match press conference, as reported by Zamin.uz.

The Italian coach emphasized that the opponent is an experienced and physically strong team. Nevertheless, he stated that the Uzbekistan national team will take the field solely to win.

Congo is a very good team. They have experience, and their players are well-prepared physically.

But we will fight to defeat them, said Cannavaro. In his view, the match against Congo could differ from the first two games.

Because Uzbekistan has so far faced top-level opponents in world football. Tomorrow's game will be different.

We have already played against two very high-level opponents. The last match was not easy either.

We analyzed it in detail, he added. Cannavaro also touched on the goalkeeper issue, highlighting that Otkir Yusupov performed well in the first match.

In the first match, Yusupov showed a good performance. We simply wanted to give another goalkeeper a chance as well.

We have three goalkeepers of high level in our squad, said the coach. According to him, the coaching staff is striving to give as many players as possible the opportunity to play at the World Cup.
