Manchester City defender Nico O'Reilly won the "Best Young Footballer of the Year" award

According to the voting conducted by the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) of England, Manchester City defender Nico O'Reilly has won the Premier League's Young Player of the Season award, One.uz reports.

This award is considered one of the highest honors for young players in football, and O'Reilly secured it before turning 21. He established himself as a regular starter in Pep Guardiola's lineup, delivering consistent, reliable, and productive performances throughout the season.

Nico O'Reilly won the award after strong competition from other top talents across England's leading clubs. In the nomination, he surpassed players such as his Manchester City teammate Rico Lewis, Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly, Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo, Liverpool's Rio Ngumoha, and Bournemouth's Evanilson.

This list highlights the level of young and promising players in the league, clearly underscoring the significance of O'Reilly's achievement. Throughout the season, O'Reilly appeared in 34 Premier League matches, demonstrating his durability and consistency.

Beyond his defensive duties, he contributed five goals and three assists, totaling eight goal involvements. These statistics clearly reflect his versatility in both defense and attack, showing that despite his young age, he performs at a remarkably high level.
