Football expert Dmitriy Bulykin shared his thoughts in an exclusive interview with “Evro-Futbol.Ru” regarding “Spartak” midfielder Markinhos' negotiations with Brazil's “Santos” club. This was reported by www.euro-football.ru.

“Information has emerged in the media about Markinhos negotiating with “Santos.” If he leaves, will it be an irreplaceable loss for the “red-whites?” In response, the expert said: “There are no irreplaceable losses in our championship.

Anyone can be replaced. Considering that “Spartak” hasn't even secured any medals, a significant part of the team can be filled with other players.”

According to him, although “Spartak” fans recognized Markinhos as the best player of the last season, he can be replaced by any player in the club: “For example, at “Dinamo,” Tyukavin got injured, and Gladyshev came on and started scoring goals.

This is a nearby example. “Spartak” didn’t even compete for medals.

Everyone played below their level. Can we call Markinhos a top player for our championship?

Of course, he is at a good level, but it is difficult to fully assess his level since the team did not participate in European cups. The level of our defenders differs from those in the Champions League or Europa League.

So, anyone can be considered the best player of the club, but if the team remains without trophies, it doesn’t matter.”

Bulykin stated that Markinhos was one of the best players in “Spartak” last season, but emphasized that this is just one opinion: “Ugalde had a poor spring season, Barco also performed well, and there were others. But in spring, no one managed to stand out and make it into the top three.

In winter, everyone was making noise about fighting for the championship. This shows the reality of our football — no matter how much you talk, the most important thing is medals and trophies.”

The Transfermarkt portal estimates Markinhos' value at 6 million euros.

While commenting on this, the expert said: “It could also be written as 15 million, but who will buy him and for how much? Some players are priced high, but they transfer for free.

I evaluate a player more based on their performance on the field and the trophies the team has won. A player's price is determined by how much someone is willing to pay for them.

In Russia, players are often paid two or three times more than their actual value, and high salaries are offered.”

Last season, Markinhos scored 2 goals and provided 12 assists. While commenting on this statistic, the expert said: “It's not a bad indicator.

But what matters is how much benefit he brought and what trophies the team secured. If the team won nothing, it’s hard to highlight anyone individually.

Now Shtankovich has been given a second chance, so we will see how the players perform next season. Everyone was expecting medals, but “Spartak” faced failure in the spring.”

When asked if better results are expected in the new championship, Dmitriy Bulykin replied: “Yes, of course.

Everyone is expecting good performance and results from “Spartak.” But whether they can achieve them is a big question.”
