Bystrov does not consider the situation in Russian football to be disastrous

Former midfielder Vladimir Bystrov, who played for Moscow's "Spartak," "Zenit," and "Krasnodar" clubs, shared his thoughts on the controversies and problems in Russian football. This was reported by www.euro-football.ru.

He stated that in the 2024/2025 season, first of all, the governor of Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, revealed that there is a corruption scheme among the referees. Then, a criminal case was opened against the leaders of Moscow's "Torpedo" club regarding the bribery of first league referees.

Bystrov does not consider these situations to be disorderly. In his opinion, on the contrary, efforts are being made to clean up the problematic situations in the football sector.

He emphasized that sports schools are operating, young football players are continuing their training, and new fields are being built. The specialist also mentioned that there are signs of contractual agreements in some matches of the Russian Premier League but decided not to disclose the details.

Additionally, Bystrov criticized the commission of the Russian Football Union regarding contractual matches. According to him, this commission is mainly a group of retirees who are not even capable of performing their duties effectively.

These opinions highlight the difficulties faced by those fighting against corruption and injustice in Russian football, while also indicating the need for honest and transparent practices for the development of the sport.
